Why Every Believer Needs a Church Family
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for saving us through Jesus Christ and making us part of Your family. Thank You that You have not called us to walk alone, but have placed us into a community of believers where we can worship, grow, serve, and encourage one another. As we study today, help us understand the purpose of the church and our place within it. Teach us to love Your people and faithfully participate in the life of Your church.

Introduction
When a person becomes a Christian, they enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
However, Christianity was never intended to be lived in isolation.
God designed believers to grow together as part of a spiritual family called the church.
Many people say, “I love Jesus, but I do not need the church.”
The Bible teaches otherwise.
Every believer needs fellowship, encouragement, accountability, teaching, and opportunities to serve alongside other followers of Christ.
The church is God’s design for helping believers grow spiritually and fulfill His mission in the world.
What Is the Church?
When people hear the word “church,” they often think of a building.
However, the church is not a building.
The church is God’s people.
