The church helps believers remain strong in their faith.
The Early Church Example
Acts 2:42
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
The first Christians devoted themselves to four important practices:
Apostles’ Doctrine
They studied and learned God’s Word.
Fellowship
They shared life together.
Breaking of Bread
They worshiped and remembered Christ together.
Prayer
They sought God together.
These remain essential elements of church life today.
We Are Members of One Body
The Bible compares the church to a human body.
1 Corinthians 12:27
“Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.”
Just as every part of the body has a purpose, every believer has a role within the church.
No member is unnecessary.
No member is insignificant.
God has given every believer gifts and opportunities to contribute to the growth of the church.
The Church Encourages Spiritual Growth
Spiritual growth happens best within biblical community.
Ephesians 4:15-16
“But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.”
