Romans 8:14

The Holy Spirit never leads contrary to God’s Word.
His guidance always aligns with Scripture.
The Holy Spirit Produces Spiritual Growth
The Holy Spirit works within believers to transform them into the likeness of Christ.
Galatians 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
As believers grow in Christ, the Holy Spirit produces godly character within them.
This transformation is called sanctification.
Walking in the Spirit
The Christian life is not about relying on human strength.
It is about learning to walk in dependence upon the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:16
“Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
Walking in the Spirit means:
- Following God’s leading
- Obeying God’s Word
- Depending on God’s power
- Yielding to God’s direction
The Spirit empowers believers to live lives that honor Christ.
The Holy Spirit Gives Assurance
The Holy Spirit also helps believers know they belong to God.
Romans 8:16
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.”
The Holy Spirit continually points believers back to Christ and reminds them of their relationship with God.
