Session 13 — Serving God

He provides:

  • Wisdom
  • Strength
  • Opportunities
  • Spiritual gifts
  • Grace

Serving becomes joyful when believers depend upon God’s power rather than their own.

The Goal of Service

The ultimate purpose of service is God’s glory.

1 Peter 4:11

“That in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.”

Serving is not about drawing attention to ourselves.

It is about pointing people to Christ.

When believers serve faithfully, God is honored and others are encouraged.

Faithfulness Matters More Than Position

God does not measure success the way the world does.

God values faithfulness.

1 Corinthians 4:2

“Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.”

Whether serving many people or a few, publicly or privately, God calls His people to be faithful.

Faithfulness pleases God.
