Session 11 — The Bible

The Bible teaches us:

  • Who God is
  • Who we are
  • What salvation is
  • How to live
  • What God expects from His people

Sound doctrine protects believers from deception and error.

The Bible Corrects and Trains Us

Scripture not only teaches truth; it also corrects us when we stray.

2 Timothy 3:16

“…for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

God’s Word:

  • Reveals sin
  • Corrects wrong thinking
  • Restores believers to the right path
  • Trains believers in godly living

The Bible is both a teacher and a guide.

How Should We Read the Bible?

Reading the Bible should be more than a routine.

Believers should approach Scripture with:

Prayer

Ask God for understanding.

Humility

Be willing to receive correction.

Faith

Trust God’s truth.

Obedience

Apply what you learn.

The goal is not merely information.

The goal is transformation.
