Reconciliation is something that develops between people when both are willing to pursue peace.
Sometimes reconciliation is possible.
Sometimes it is partial.
Sometimes it is not.
And when it is not, forgiveness still matters.
You may have done everything within your power to seek peace.
You may have extended grace, invited conversation, and remained open-hearted.
Yet the other person chose a different path.
If that is your story, do not carry false guilt.
Paul says:
“So far as it depends on you…”
God does not hold you responsible for another person’s response.
He asks you to walk faithfully in what is yours to do.
Perhaps today you are praying for reconciliation.
Do not stop hoping.
God specializes in redemption.
But hold your hopes with open hands.
Trust Him with the outcome.
Whether reconciliation comes quickly, slowly, or not at all, the Lord remains faithful.
He can restore relationships.
And He can sustain hearts that grieve what could not be restored.
The peace of your soul does not depend upon another person’s decision.
It rests in the God who walks with you through every outcome.
As you continue this journey, remain open to what God may do.
Pray for reconciliation where it is wise and possible.
Release what you cannot control.
And trust that the God of peace will guide your steps.
