Romans 3:10
“There is none righteous, no, not one.”
Then Romans 3:23 summarizes the condition of every human being:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Paul removes every basis for self-righteousness.
Whether religious or irreligious, moral or immoral, rich or poor, all humanity stands in need of God’s grace.

“For All”
The word all leaves no room for exceptions.
Every person is included.
This includes:
- Kings and servants
- Religious leaders and unbelievers
- Men and women
- Young and old
No one is naturally righteous before God.

Because people often compare themselves with other people rather than with God’s perfect standard.
“Have Sinned”
The phrase reveals that sin is universal.
Every person has sinned.
No one has lived a perfect life.
No one has obeyed God perfectly.
No one has reflected God’s holiness perfectly.
