2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…”
Teaching
Salvation does not merely rescue us from something.
It rescues us into something.
Through Christ we receive:
- Peace with God
- Eternal life
- Adoption as children of God
- A new identity
- The Holy Spirit
- A new purpose
- A future inheritance
God’s goal is not merely to keep people out of judgment.
His goal is to bring people into relationship with Himself.
Salvation is not simply escape.
It is restoration.
