Proverbs reminds us:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
Trust does not mean understanding everything.
If that were true, very few of us would ever trust.
Trust means placing ourselves into the care of Someone
whose character has proven faithful, even when our circumstances remain confusing.
The truth is, people will fail us.
Even the people we love most are imperfect.
Some failures are small.
Others leave deep wounds.
Human trust, while valuable, will always have limits.
But God’s faithfulness does not fluctuate.
He does not betray.
He does not deceive.
He does not abandon.
He does not forget.
He remains constant when everything else feels uncertain.
Learning to trust again often begins there.
Not by immediately placing confidence in everyone around us.
But by anchoring ourselves in the character of God.
As we trust Him, He teaches us wisdom.
He helps us discern healthy relationships.
He gives courage to take appropriate risks.
He reminds us that guarding our hearts does not require hardening them.
Perhaps trusting again looks different than it once did.
You ask better questions.
You pay attention to patterns.
You establish healthy boundaries.
You move more slowly.
That is not failure.
That is maturity.
